So, what's so special about a LightMode Kit? Every LightMode kit uses an electroluminescent (EL) material that surrounds one's helmet in true 360° fashion. It is powered by a small controller that has three mode selections: constant glow, blink, and off. The controller uses two AA batteries and lasts 13 hours when using 2000 mAh NiMH rechargeables. The controller easily attaches to one's helmet using a curved adhesive mount. All LightMode controllers can mount to either side of one's helmet allowing you to keep any side free for Bluetooth communication devices.
The EL materials are permanently fixed to the helmet with a special combination of adhesives which form a strong, permanent bond.
