HARRIS COUNTY, Texas -- Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies say a man was killed in a crash in Spring overnight.

Around 12:15 a.m. Wednesday the man was on a red motorcycle speeding along 20800 Holzwarth near Spring Cypress Road when he lost control, deputies say. The bike hit a road sign at a curve in the road and went on its side.

The rider was thrown from the bike and slid about 150 feet.

Deputies say he was not wearing a helmet and died at the scene.

The man’s identity was not released, but deputies say he was in his twenties.
